In a number of cases in January, an increase in charges was indeed recorded, and this is related to several factors. Primarily, these are:
• Transition to a new rule of electricity accounting from 2022 and, in connection with this, sending a second receipt for the remaining consumption of December;
• Changes in the state subsidy system in Tbilisi from January 2022;
• Updating of deposits based on average monthly consumption for those consumers who previously regularly violated the payment deadline;
• Reflection of arrears from previous periods in the January receipt.
Telmico LLC works individually on each consumer application. Together with JSC Telasi, regular inspection and analysis of electricity consumption volumes are being conducted, socially vulnerable citizens are given the possibility of payment deferral, and other support measures are also being taken.
We sincerely regret that the changes caused inconvenience and are ready to provide support to each consumer.
