List of Documents Required to Access the Grace Period

By decision of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), a unified meter reading system will be implemented in Tbilisi starting January 2022.

 

The implementation of the new system includes the right to benefit from an extended payment period for electricity bills for customers who:

 

• Are registered in the Unified Database of Socially Vulnerable Families in accordance with the procedures established by Georgian legislation;

• Are pensioners;

• Receive subsistence allowance, reintegration allowance, or a social package in accordance with the Law of Georgia "On Social Assistance";

• Hold the status of a parent of a large family in accordance with Georgian legislation and have four or more children/adopted children under the age of 18.

 

To benefit from the grace period, customers in the aforementioned categories must submit an identity document and the relevant documentation issued by the authorized administrative body (in either physical or electronic form) to TELMICO.

The deadlines for electricity bill payments are as follows:

 

• Pensioners: until the 16th of each month.

• Socially vulnerable and large families: until the 22nd of each month.
